A frequent problem is the appearance of small irregularities in the nasal dorsum after surgery, especially in patients with thin skin. This occurs because the underlying bones and cartilage are not sufficiently covered, which can result in sharp edges or asymmetries. While there are classic techniques to manage this problem, they often do not offer entirely satisfactory solutions for those with a particularly delicate nasal dorsum.  <\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Prevention-Based_Strategy\"><\/span>A Prevention-Based Strategy<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcamedicalgroup.com\/nosotros\/dr-garcia-ceballos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Garcia Ceballos<\/a> proposes a simple but effective approach: measuring nasal skin thickness before surgery. Using a hand-held adipometer, he classifies patients into two types: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Type I:<\/strong> Thin skin (&lt;3 mm), with greater risk of irregularities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Type II:<\/strong> Thicker skin (\u22653 mm), with less likelihood of complications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Based on this classification, adapt the treatment:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Type I patients, he applies leukocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin-enriched nanograft (L-PRF) during surgery, which improves skin thickness and promotes tissue regeneration.<\/li>\n<li>In Type II patients, it uses techniques that help control swelling and improve nasal contour definition.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Positive_and_Promising_Results\"><\/span>Positive and Promising Results<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>In a study conducted between 2022 and 2023, patients treated with this method showed significant improvements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An average increase in skin thickness of 0.9 mm in thin-skinned patients after one year.<\/li>\n<li>No cases of nasal dorsal irregularities requiring surgical revision.<\/li>\n<li>All patients were satisfied with the results, with no relevant complications during the recovery process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_Step_Forward_in_Plastic_Surgery\"><\/span>A Step Forward in Plastic Surgery<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>This method not only improves aesthetic results, but also reduces the risk of postoperative complications.
