However, one of the recurring concerns following this intervention is irregularities in the nasal dorsum, especially in patients with thin skin. In patients with very thin skin, small bony or cartilaginous irregularities may become visible, while in those with thick skin, structural definition may be compromised. Evaluation of soft tissue thickness prior to surgery allows problems to be anticipated and preventive measures to be implemented.  <\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Nasal_Dorsal_Soft_Tissue_Thickness_Rating_R-STET\"><\/span><strong>Nasal Dorsal Soft Tissue Thickness Rating (R-STET)<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This classification is based on the preoperative measurement of soft tissue thickness at the level of the rhinion (R-STET: Rhinion Soft Tissue Envelope Thickness). Patients are divided into two main categories: <\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Type_I_%E2%80%93_Thin_skin_%3C_3mm_thick\"><\/span><strong>Type I &#8211; Thin skin (&lt; 3mm thick)<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>These patients are at an increased risk of developing visible irregularities after surgery. To minimize this problem, intraoperative treatment is recommended that includes: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Application of subcutaneous clot of <a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcamedicalgroup.com\/procedimientos\/medicina-regenerativa\/prp-plasma-factores-de-crecimiento\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>L-PRF<\/strong><\/a> (platelet- and leukocyte-rich fibrin), which promotes tissue regeneration and improves skin quality.<\/li>\n<li>Intradermal grafting of <strong>L-PRF-enriched<a href=\"https:\/\/mallorcamedicalgroup.com\/procedimientos\/medicina-estetica\/nanofat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nanofat<\/a><\/strong>, which increases the thickness of the soft tissue and conceals irregularities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Type_II_%E2%80%93_Normal_or_thick_skin_%E2%89%A5_3mm_thick\"><\/span><strong>Type II &#8211; Normal or thick skin (\u2265 3mm thick).<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>In these cases, the soft tissue is sufficient to cover possible irregularities of the nasal skeleton. However, to prevent excessive swelling of the nasal tip, it is recommended: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Intraoperative intradermal steroid<\/strong> application, which reduces fibrosis and optimizes postoperative evolution.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Benefits_of_this_Classification\"><\/span><strong>Benefits of this Classification<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Thanks to this methodology, surgeons can customize intraoperative and postoperative treatments according to individual patient characteristics.
