The face and neck as a single anatomical unit
A cervicofacial facelift treats both the face and neck in a single procedure because these two areas age as a single, continuous anatomical unit. The technique reposition the SMAS-platysma complex to restore the mandibular contour and the cervico-mental angle, and to eliminate platysmal bands on the neck.
Unlike a facelift, which is limited to the face, a cervicofacial procedure incorporates neck treatment into the same surgical procedure, thereby preventing a “mismatched” result between a rejuvenated face and an aged neck.
Ideal candidates
Patients aged 50 and older with mandibular jowls, loss of facial contour definition, a double chin, platysmal bands, and an obtuse cervico-mental angle. Good overall health, being a non-smoker, and realistic expectations are essential.

A variant for every body type
Conventional Cervicofacial Surgery with SMAS
Classic pre- and post-auricular approach with repositioning of the facial SMAS and cervical platysma. Consistent and well-documented long-term results.
Posterior cervical approach
For patients with very pronounced platysmal bands who require invisible anterior scars. It allows for deep cervical tightening without an anterior scar on the neck.
Cervicofacial + Submental Liposuction
When there is submental fat accumulation, submental liposuction is performed to define the contour and the cervico-mental angle.
Cervicofacial + Blepharoplasty
The most common combination for patients with overall facial aging. The face, neck, and eyelids are addressed in a single surgical procedure.
A facelift treats the middle and lower thirds of the face. A cervicofacial lift extends the treatment to the neck during the same procedure. When there is noticeable aging of the neck, a cervicofacial lift prevents an aesthetic mismatch between the face and the neck.

Discharged from the hospital on day 1. Compression dressing on the face and neck for 48–72 hours. Discomfort controlled with oral analgesics.

Social Reintegration
Most bruises have resolved. Makeup covers any residual discoloration. International patients are returning to their home countries.

Gradual return to sports. Strict sun protection for the scars for 6 months.
