Rhinoplasty for Men in Mallorca

Rhinoplasty tailored for men: straight bridge, well-defined tip without excessive rotation, and respect for male anatomy. The Duvet technique, patented by Dr. García Ceballos. Improperly performed rhinoplasty feminizes the face; when performed correctly, it enhances masculine facial features.

01 — Rhinoplasty for Men: Features to Preserve

Enhance the masculine features of the face, not feminize them

Rhinoplasty for men is technically different from that for women. The male nose has characteristic anatomical features that define it and that must be preserved during surgery: a straighter or minimally convex bridge (never concave, which is a female trait), a more acute nasolabial angle (95–100° in men vs. 100–110° in women), a wider and less rotated tip, and a broader nasal base.

When a surgeon applies female aesthetic parameters to a male patient—a curved bridge, a very high tip, and open angles—the result feminizes the face, gives away the surgery, and compromises the patient’s identity. At Mallorca Medical Group, we use the Duvet technique, patented by Dr. García Ceballos, with specific masculine parameters: a straight bridge, a tip with subtle projection, and closed angles.

Ideal candidates

Men aged 17–18 and older (once facial growth has ceased) with a dorsal hump, a deviated nose, a hypertrophic or poorly projected nasal tip, post-traumatic sequelae, or functional problems (deviated septum). A well-performed rhinoplasty for men is the most subtle of all facial surgeries: friends notice that “something has changed” but can’t pinpoint what it is.

02 - Techniques

Duvet Technique Adapted for Men

Secondary Rhinoplasty for Men

It corrects suboptimal results from previous rhinoplasties—especially cases involving unintended feminization (concave bridge, tip that is too high). It is one of the most technically demanding surgeries.

Functional Septorhinoplasty for Men

It combines cosmetic correction with correction of the nasal septum when there is respiratory obstruction (common in men following sports-related injuries). A single surgery addresses both form and function.

Post-Traumatic Rhinoplasty

Corrects a deviated or deformed nose following trauma (common among athletes). Requires simultaneous evaluation of the nasal septum and the bony structure.

Preliminary 3D Simulation

The consultation includes a 3D nasal simulation that shows the patient various technical options—while always maintaining masculine features. The simulation helps align the patient’s and surgeon’s goals.

03 - Recovery

Week by Week After Male Rhinoplasty

  • D1-3

    Nasal splint, congestion

Discharged the next day. External splint. Nasal congestion rather than pain. Relative rest with head elevated. Mild oral analgesia.

  • D7-10

    Removal of splint

Splint removed. Nose still very swollen (this is not the final result). Periorbital bruising has almost resolved. Return to work is possible for sedentary jobs.

  • S3-4

    Inflammation subsides

Swelling is subsiding. The contours are starting to become more defined. Light exercise is permitted.

  • M3

    80% of the result

80% of the result is visible. The definition of the tip continues to improve.

  • M12

    Final result

    Permanent, long-lasting results.
