A painter from Mallorca is coming to our center. And with her comes something that goes far beyond mere decoration.

There are spaces that heal through what they do, and others that heal simply through what they are. Today we want to share something with you that fills us with pride and that, we’re sure, will change the experience of our visitors: we’ve reached an agreement with the Mallorcan artist Mari Carmen Sanz to exhibit her work at our center for the next six months.

For six months, our waiting rooms will be transformed into an art gallery open to all our patients and visitors.

Mari Carmen Sanz: The Language of Color Transformed into Emotion

Mari Carmen Sanz is a Mallorcan painter whose work moves effortlessly within the realm of abstract art. Her work does not seek to represent the world as we see it, but rather as we feel it: through layers of color, visual tensions, silences, and bursts of color that invite the viewer to construct their own interpretation.

What sets Mari Carmen apart is not only her technique, but her ability to create works that connect emotionally with the viewer, regardless of their prior knowledge of art. Her paintings do not require any formal training to be enjoyed; they require only presence and an open mind. And in a clinical setting, that has a value that few things can match.

Art in a Plastic Surgery Clinic: Much More Than Just Aesthetics

It might seem coincidental that a clinic specializing in plastic and cosmetic surgery would decide to open its doors to art. But it is not at all. It is, in fact, a deeply logical decision.

Our specialty focuses on image, body perception, self-esteem, and emotional well-being. Every procedure we perform stems from a conversation about how a person sees themselves and how they would like to feel. In this context, abstract art acts as a non-judgmental mirror: it does not reflect a specific form, but rather an emotion. And that opens the door to introspection, which is therapeutically valuable.

Studies in the fields of environmental health and patient-centered design have consistently documented the benefits of art in clinical settings: reduced preoperative anxiety, improved spatial perception, a shorter perceived wait time, and increased trust in the medical team. This isn’t just a theory—it’s evidence. And we want it to be part of our daily practice as well.

A plastic surgery center in [your city] that incorporates art into its environment offers more than just medical care: it provides a comprehensive care experience, where every detail of the space has been carefully designed to make patients feel supported from the moment they walk through the door.

Our commitment to local art: authenticity as a distinguishing feature

We live in an age when medical centers compete for digital visibility, search engine rankings, and a presence on search engines. And that’s fine. But there’s one thing no algorithm can create: authenticity.

Our commitment to art does not stem from a marketing strategy. It stems from a genuine conviction: that local artists deserve spaces where their work can be seen, and that those spaces can be something other than conventional galleries. A medical center that serves hundreds of people each month is also a cultural venue with a responsibility to its community.

With Mari Carmen Sanz, we are launching what we hope will be an ongoing collaboration with artists from our region, especially from the Balearic Islands. We want to be a place where local talent has a home, where a Mallorcan painter can see her work admired by people who might never have set foot in a conventional gallery.

That’s what defines us. And that, ultimately, is what sets us apart.

Come see it

Starting today, Mari Carmen Sanz’s artwork will be on display at our facility, available for all our patients and their companions to enjoy. No appointment is necessary. You don’t need to know anything about art. All you need to do is look.

We’re looking forward to seeing you.
