Twin Augmentation
Calves can appear congenitally underdeveloped or due to certain diseases. This can cause some people a certain complex.
The treatment of hypertrophic or underdeveloped calves is surgical.
- Procedure: consists of increasing the volume of the calves by inserting oval-shaped prostheses that reproduce the volume and shape of the back of the legs.
An incision is made in the upper part behind the knee that we use to access the pocket where the prostheses will be housed. - Anesthesia: performed under general anesthesia
- After the intervention it is recommended to avoid exercise.
- The stitches are removed between 7-10 days after the intervention.
- A compression bandage is applied for a month.
Our calf augmentation surgery incorporates treatment for scars during the intervention using growth factors
We also offer the possibility of applying a laser treatment to the scars one week and one month after the intervention.
The combination of these two treatments improves the quality and healing time of scars.
We carry out this intervention in Palma de Mallorca.
The price of the intervention is delivered after consulting with Dr. García Ceballos.
During the consultation you will be able to see before and after photos of cases similar to yours.
If you travel or consult us from anywhere in Spain, UK or Europe you can request your telematic consultation via Skype.

We could say that you can practically lead a normal life after an increase in twins. The main thing to avoid is exercising the lower body with intensity, that is, doing sports during the first 15 days. Yes, it would be possible to walk and carry out daily activities.
From the month you can perform more intense exercises with the legs.
The cost of an increase in twins ranges between €5,000 and €8,000
In principle, the twin augmentation intervention is for life. Despite this, if the implants cause any complications, this could lead to a reoperation.
Variables you can control to improve the outcome of your buttock fat grafting include choosing a competent surgeon who will offer you a proper technique. In the postoperative period, you must avoid traumatizing the operated area and maintain the compressive bandages.
If there are no problems, twin prostheses are for life. Despite this, prostheses can cause complications that could lead to a new intervention.
Rupture of the twin prostheses due to trauma is highly unlikely. Over time, the coverage of the implant can deteriorate due to chemical interaction with the organic elements of your body.
