Gynecomastia
Gynecomastia is the presence of prominent breasts that can be similar to those of a woman in a man. This problem can affect 50 or 60% of males.
The relationship between gynecomastia and the taking of certain medications or toxic habits such as the use of marijuana is well known. It is convenient to differentiate the presence of true gynecomastia from the existence of combined gynecomastia or pseudo gynecomastia caused by an excess of fatty tissue around the mammary gland in the male.
In some cases there may be pain combined with the presence of gynecomastia. In these cases it is convenient to differentiate the problem that prevails in each patient since the treatment can vary.
The reduction of volume of the breast in the male is carried out by means of a surgical procedure.
Gynecomastia
Depending on the degree of gynecomastia that the male presents, the intervention may be different.
- For less severe cases, a semicircular incision is made at the lower edge of the areola through which the interior of the mammary gland is accessed and removed.
- For those cases in which there is a fatty component, the association of a liposuction procedure may be necessary to adapt the shape and contour of the chest.
- In the most severe cases in which there is redundancy or excess skin, it may be necessary to make larger incisions in order to remove excess skin and reduce the size of the areolas.
The procedure for gynecomastia correction is usually performed under general anesthesia, although in some very mild cases it can be performed under local anesthesia.
When a complete procedure is performed, the stay in the clinic is recommended for one night.
- After the intervention, a compression bandage or elastic band is applied that the patient must wear for a month.
- It is an intervention that provides certain postoperative discomfort for which an analgesic regimen is recommended during the postoperative period.
- The return to normal working life will depend on the work carried out by each patient for sedentary work; it is reasonable to rest for one month.
- The stitches can be removed after 10 days.
Our gynecomastia surgery incorporates treatment for scars during the intervention using growth factors.
We also offer the possibility of applying a laser treatment to the scars of the gynecomastia one week and one month after the intervention
The combination of these two treatments improves the quality and healing time of scars.
We carry out this intervention in Palma de Mallorca.
The price of the intervention is delivered after consulting with Dr. García Ceballos.

Our greatest asset is our customers
Dr. Ceballos operated on me 1 month ago for bilateral gynecomastia and areola reduction, in addition to later doing 2 laser sessions to help heal better. It has exceeded the expectations that I had since 1 month later there is no longer a trace of gynecomastia and the breast has healed very well. He has been very attentive to my doubts and from the first moment he gave me the necessary confidence since he clearly explained the procedure to me and what I could expect from him without giving me false expectations (and as I said, he has far exceeded my expectations since I have the chest as if I had never had gynecomastia and as if I had never had an operation)

It’s very simple, Dr. Garcia Ceballos is the best.
And I think about it because it brings together: professionalism of the highest level, great humanity, closeness to the patient and the support of a great team.
But what makes it “the best” is the sensitivity and ability to keep you, whatever your age, in harmony with your appearance. Thanks!!

Only with the first visit I decided on Dr. Ceballos because he gave me confidence.
After the operation I have not felt pain at any time and whenever I have had any doubts they have treated me quickly and very well

Today I went to my first check-up after having a gynecomastia operation with Dr. García Ceballos. In the consultation they have removed the bandage and I have been able to see the results a week after my operation. I am happy that I made this decision and chose Dr. Garcia to operate on me. In my case, areolar reduction has been done and I have decided to have the postoperative laser for the scars. Courage to all of you who are thinking of having surgery and I recommend Dr. García and his entire team!

Gynecomastia is the appearance in the male of a breast larger than expected. Usually this pathology occurs with a breast shape that can even be like that of a woman, although there are different degrees. Gynecomastia surgery can cause some discomfort in men due to the appearance of unmasculine breasts.
The cause of gynecomastia is multiple and may be due to the intake of certain medications, the taking of some drugs, growth phases during puberty or certain pathologies that occur with an increase in breast volume.
The intervention for breast reduction or gynecomastia in men can be uncomfortable during the first days. For this, analgesics are administered to counteract these discomforts.
Yes, the gynecomastia operation leaves scars. These are located either around the areola or in the lower part of it.
As in any surgery in the gynecomastia operation there are certain risks such as bleeding, infection and/or alterations in wound healing.
The price of a gynecomastia can range between €3,000 and €8,000
Yes, it is possible to accelerate the healing of scars either during the same intervention by applying certain regenerating products to the incisions, or in the postoperative period by means of lasers and silicone strips on the incisions themselves.
